When I went to the Chocolate Tasting Workshop at La Domaine last week, I really had no idea what to expect. I knew that it had been too long since I had last been at La Domaine and that anything involving kink and chocolate was definitely my cup of tea. ‘beauty’ was the host, a kinkster, professional baker, former contributing editor to Bon Appetite magazine, as well as a celebrity chef television personality many times again. I knew that I had to meet her and eat with her. I spent the weeks leading up to the party perving beauty’s online baking resource.
Mistress / puppy dog Margot Rose joined me for our trip upstate. Having spent a majority of my life upstate and outdoors, I am always excited to venture out of the city.
We made our way down to the dungeon, where beauty gave us a presentation on how chocolate is made and introduced us to six radically different dark chocolates as well as a white and milk chocolate. Ranging from 54%-91% cacao. Margot sat at my feet, with her head resting on my lap, my hands ran through her hair and around the nape of her neck as beauty explained how the tasting would work. I grasped Margot’s hair in my hand, and pulled it so that she was looking at me and explained to her that chocolate is bad for puppies, and that she would just have to watch me eat it.
beauty encouraged us to utilize all of our senses. To close our eyes, and smell the chocolate, before biting off a little piece and pressing it up against the roof of our mouth and letting it melt there, while a variety of different flavors hit our taste buds. My favorite chocolate was the Denori 72% dark chocolate. It was a bitter, flavorful chocolate with a boozy taste. Master R said he tasted Merlot, I tasted bourbon, I guess we taste what we want to taste. My puppy whimpered and begged, and I was feeling like hurting puppies, so I let her try some chocolate. Margot’s favorite was the fourth chocolate, a rather bitter and unsweet chocolate, with an intense flavor profile. beauty described it as earthy and smokey, Margot described it as like licking her Daddy’s leather boots. She couldn’t get enough of it.
After the eight chocolates had been sampled, beauty passed around some straight organic cocoa butter, which I rubbed on Margot’s chest and nipples as beauty finished up the presentation. When the presentation was over, I was pleasantly full of chocolates. Normally I would have eaten much more, but when eating such fine and delicate chocolates with such attention and intention, I seemed to crave less and revel in the quality.
Miss Couple was wearing an amazing pair of leather chaps with many buckles along the side. We decorated her with chocolate and placed a piece in between each buckle. The guests of the party feasted, while I took some pictures (and licked some second helpings of my favorite chocolate off Miss Couple).

My favorite was the Domori Apurimac. The chocolate Margot liked best was the 85% Michel Cluizel Grand Noir and the 91% Guittard Nocturne.
